For their creative innovation, the students of design were awarded the second prize in the state during an Ahmedabad held design competition. In developing this design, the students of fashion design were inspired by the Gujarat kite flying festival.
The American National Design Awards, founded in 2000, are funded and awarded by Cooper-Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. There are seven official design categories, and three additional awards.
The Students of Fashion Design were awarded for the Best Khadi Concept through their wondrous display of artistry during the National Design Awards held in Goa. The students’ designs were an ideal expression of the cultural significance of fashion and provided the best portrayal of design.
The students of design in recognition of their creative prowess were awarded as the Most innovative debut designers for their sustainability collection. The Institute of Design achieved this accomplishment during India Design Week held in Mumbai
